Case Example,

Savint applied independently for partnership-based visitor visa for his wife who was living in India. Savint’s wife had two separate visas declined by Immigration New Zealand because they were not satisfied that the relationship was genuine and stable or that there were incentives for the partner to return to India. We took over this application and successfully secured a visitor’s visa so that Savint’s wife could travel to New Zealand in order to join her husband. She is now here and happily settled and was able to move onto an open work visa under partnership grounds allowing her to work in any job in New Zealand.

Case Example,

A Filipino migrant had several of her work visa applications either declined or refused to be considered by Immigration New Zealand. She visited several Wellington Immigration consultants, perceived by many as prominent in the industry. She was turned away by many of them or they would not even look at my case because of its difficult nature. We challenged INZ’s decision and got her work visa approved as a support worker.

Case Example,

Sanil came to New Zealand in 2007 and has been working as a bus driver since that time. Bus Drivers were in demand in New Zealand at the time, so he has had continuous employment at a reasonable salary. His family comprising his wife and three children joined him soon. After four years of working in New Zealand, his visa was refused since Immigration decided that Bus Drivers were no longer in demand and that New Zealand workers were available. His children finished school in New Zealand and are now at University where he has been paying the expensive international fees for them. Sanil came to see us and we immediately made an appeal under a special section of Immigration laws enabling Immigration New Zealand to use their discretion to restore a client onto a valid visa in deserving cases. This was not easy as we could not change the fact that this position is no longer considered to be ‘in demand’ in New Zealand. So we had to point to the fact that Sanil had been here for so long and had made NZ his home and had invested significantly into his childrens’ education and their future here. This appeal was successful and he is now back on a work visa and is now on target to achieving residence for himself and his family in New Zealand.

Case Example,

Simranpreet came to New Zealand to study a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Enterprise and after completing her course she found a job as an Assistant Manager in a service station. Simranpreet thought this position was suitable to secure her a new visa for 2 years, however INZ did not agreeas they believed this job was not relevant to her studies. She came to see us after she having her work visa applications declined twice. We advised her to get a new job offer which would meet the requirements of INZ. She followed this advice and we assisted her to lodge a new application and pointed out to INZ the ways in which this job was relevant to her management qualification and how it could lead her to becoming a NZ resident. This was accepted by INZ and she was given a two year work visa to work in this role. Simranpreet now has sufficient points to qualify for residence as a skilled migrant thanks to her qualifications, job offer and work experience.

Case Example,

Gurnam came to New Zealand as a student and after this diploma he was promoted to a management position in a fast food outlet but he had to relocate to a small town in the South island of New Zealand. He met a New Zealander and got into a serious relationship with her. She had to move away to the North Island for a new job but they maintained their relationship by communication and travelling when possible. Despite having a good joband a work visa which could achieve residence eventually, Gurnam felt that it was better for him to pursue his new love, so he came to us to see what could be arranged. We were able to advise him and his partner of the process for changing his visa from one based on his qualifications and job to one based on his partnership with a New Zealand resident. He is now living with his partner and he is on a work visa based on this partnership which allows him to work in any job he likes.

A client from Canada (name held) with no qualification, but more than 5 years of relevant work experience, applied for a visa on his own, but he was unsuccessful.
