INZ offices processing family residence applications are allocated a specific number of capped applications (Parent Tier 1, old parent residence, and sibling/adult child residence applications) that can be approved each financial year.
This is based on the date of acceptance, so that all offices are processing applications received in the same manner. For the Henderson Area Office, the allocated capped approvals for the 2014/2015 financial year was 206. The family residence team reached this target in mid-December 2014 and as a result, are unable to make any more approvals until after 30 June 2015.
We will start assessment on the old parent and sibling/adult child applications accepted before 11 December 2011 just prior to 01 July 2015.
If you have any questions regarding this please contact Wayne Nahi, Family Residence team and Skilled Migrant Immigration Manager.
